The overall theme of this year’s Health Law Journal Symposium will be What’s Next? The Movement from Volume to Value-based Healthcare Delivery, and will feature Congressman Jim Cooper as keynote speaker.

The Symposium will be held on Friday, January 27th, from 8:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Belmont Law building, the Randall and Sadie Baskin Center. 2.84 free CLE credit hours will be offered and lunch will be provided following the keynote address.

The first panel, “Industry Perspectives on Healthcare Delivery in an Uncertain Policy Future,” will include Dick Cowart of Baker Donelson; Michael Regier of Vanderbilt University Medical Center; and Darin Gordon of Gordon & Associates, LLC, former TennCare Director and Deputy Commissioner of Health Care Finance and Administration.

The second panel, “Fraud and Abuse Concerns in Value-based Reimbursement Structures,” will include Ellen Bowden McIntyre, Assistant United States Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee; Patsy Powers of Waller, Lansden, Dortch & Davis; and Brian Roark of Bass, Berry & Sims.

Congressman Jim Cooper will give the keynote address at 11:00 a.m.
