South America Health Care Trade Mission Builds Relationships and Globally Positions Nashville
From November 14 to 19, nearly 30 Nashville health care industry executives participated in the Nashville Health Care Council and Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce’s International Health Care Trade Mission to Santiago, Chile and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Delegates met with government and business leaders in those countries to learn about their health care systems, share best practices and lessons learned and explore opportunities for business partnerships.
Led by retired HCA Chairman and CEO Jack O. Bovender, Jr., the trip marked the Council and Chamber’s ninth international trade mission. It was an outstanding experience. We learned a great deal, not only about Chile and Argentina’s health care systems but about their economic and financial landscapes, as well, Bovender said. It was clear that both are interested in public–private partnerships with U.S. businesses and in attracting foreign investments, especially in health care.”
