Michael Burcham is an entrepreneur and health care CEO with over 20 years of experience leading disruptive and technology-enabled companies. He is the CEO of Narus Health, a care-management organization focused on life-limiting and complex conditions.

Prior to Narus Health, Burcham was the founding president and CEO of the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, serving in that capacity from 2009-2014. From 2000-2008, he served as president of ParadigmHealth, which specialized in the management of life-limiting and clinically complex patients. It was sold in 2007 and is now part of Optum Health.

Burcham was president and founder of Theraphysics, a venture-backed, specialty rehabilitation firm. Theraphysics was acquired by Beverly Enterprises in 1998. Prior to founding Theraphysics, Burcham worked for Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) as vice president of managed care for Centennial Medical Center.

Burcham also teaches health care innovation and entrepreneurship in the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.

Burcham has helped launch a number of technology-enabled health care organizations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, an MBA from Belmont University and a Ph.D. in health administration from the Medical University of South Carolina.
