His presentation to LHC explored the life science and pharmaceutical industry landscape in Tennessee, the process of getting pharmaceuticals from their initial development into the marketplace and Cumberland Pharmaceuticals’ specific offerings and business model.
Nashville-based Cumberland Pharmaceuticals was named to Inc.’s list of the 500 fastest growing private firms in the United States twice prior to its initial public offering and listing on the NASDAQ stock exchange in 2009. More recently, Cumberland was named one of the fastest growing health care companies headquartered in the U.S. by Modern Healthcare magazine.
Kazimi currently serves on the board of directors for the Nashville Health Care Council and the Nashville Sports Council. He also serves as CEO of Cumberland Emerging Technologies, a biomedical incubator located in downtown Nashville that is a joint initiative among Cumberland Pharmaceuticals, Vanderbilt University and the Tennessee Technology Development Corporation.
