Terry J. Wilk brings more than 35 years of experience working on IT matters with hospitals, health systems and affiliated organizations.

ALPHARETTA, GA– (March 3, 2014) – Coker Group has hired Terry J. Wilk, MBA, FCHIME, CJMC, as Vice President of Healthcare Information Technology services, effective March 1, officials said.

Hospitals are in the midst of transforming the ways they provide care across multiple environments. This clinical and financial transformation brings hospitals a host of new challenges in using HCIT. Wilk, with more than 20 years of experience as a healthcare Chief Information Officer, will provide strategic guidance to hospitals to transform their IT systems and organizations to meet 21st century needs.

“Providing support to CIOs who face today’s multiple challenges will be a key role for Terry, who can deliver meaningful and relevant advice as someone who has literally walked in their shoes,” stated Jeffery Daigrepont, SVP of Coker’s HCIT services. “While Coker has provided HCIT services to hospitals for almost 15 years, adding a highly qualified and experienced hospital CIO such as Terry instills immediate confidence with other CIOs and hospital executives who may be struggling within their own systems and situations,” added Daigrepont.

Prior to joining Coker, Wilk served as Vice-President/CIO for four healthcare systems, most recently at Piedmont Henry Hospital, a community hospital affiliated with Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta. Wilk cast a clear IT vision, charted breakthrough strategies to achieve significant IT goals, and elevated visibility into and accountability for effective IT system use.

“I am honored to be joining Coker Group at this pivotal moment in healthcare, and I am fully committed to expanding our long-standing tradition of delivering high value, top quality IT services to hospitals and healthcare systems,” stated Wilk.  From strategic planning, IT governance, vendor selection and negotiations to complex IT system implementation, crisis management, operational turnarounds, organizational design and leadership development, and even interim CIO management, Wilk’s expertise spans the full range of IT executive perspective required today.
