Council Hires New Director of Events and Sponsorships, Announces Staff Promotion

The Nashville Health Care Council is pleased to announce a new addition and a new staff role.

Kimberly Burge will serve as the director of events and sponsorships for the Council. In this role, Burge will lead efforts around the execution, implementation and management of the Council’s corporate events. In addition, she will be responsible for managing a sponsorship platform and securing sponsoring organizations for the Council and its Fellows and Leadership Health Care (LHC) programs.

Most recently, Burge served as health system manager for the American Cancer Society (ACS), where she had worked in multiple roles since 2011. Prior to her time with ACS, she was with Court Appointed Special Advocate. She brings with her a number of years of experience in event planning and relationship building in the health care industry. Burge received her bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.

Jamie Lee has been promoted to chief operating officer (COO). Lee, who previously served as vice president for operations and events, joined the Council staff in 2008. In her role as COO, she is responsible for the organization’s internal processes and support functions.

“We are excited to welcome Kim to the Council team and to have Jamie in this new role,” said Hayley Hovious, president of the Nashville Health Care Council. “I appreciate their expertise and energy as we continue to inspire global collaboration to improve health care through our corporate event offerings.”
