Each year, Fortune works with Hay Group, a global management consulting firm, to identify the World’s Most Admired Companies. To develop the ranking, Hay Group asked executives, directors and analysts to rate companies in their own industry on nine criteria, from investment value to social responsibility. A company’s score must rank in the top half of its industry survey to be listed. Approximately 668 companies from 29 countries around the world were surveyed by over 4,000 participants to create the 2015 list.
