Composing the Future: Navigating Healthcare Investment in a Changing Market

Three-time investor-founder duo Brad Smith and Annie Lamont showcased what makes a good investment partner and how to choose where to focus efforts in a changing market. Having created and scaled multiple successful healthcare companies, Smith highlighted the need to balance the complex mechanics of delivering care with the imperative of reducing costs when leveraging acquisitions and strategic partnerships. Throughout the fireside chat, Lamont and Smith emphasized the need for finding and then building relationships with trusted thought partners and strong leadership teams from the get-go when an idea is in its early stages. And from a business standpoint, Smith reminded the audience that finding a clear and realistic path towards revenue through value-driven care solutions is key to his formula of answering the toughest questions and making the solutions sustainable.
