Dave Anderson, assistant vice president for financial operations at Envision Healthcare Corp., was named the Health Care Emerging Leader of the Year. Anderson is an active member of the LHC board of directors and played an integral role in developing new agenda offerings for the 2017 LHC D.C. Delegation, to be held in March 2017. In addition, Anderson has gone above and beyond by attending numerous LHC events throughout the year, hosting LHC meetings at his company’s office and working behind the scenes on LHC financials.

Scott Mertie, president of Kraft Healthcare Consulting, received the Ambassador of the Year award. This award recognizes an individual member who has shown dedication and commitment to LHC and serves as a positive reflection of the organization’s mission and goals. During 2016, Mertie served as a major recruiter for LHC, coordinated event sponsorships and hosted a number of LHC board meetings. Having been part of the Nashville health care community for nearly 25 years, Mertie is a key champion of LHC, always making sure to promote the Council and LHC when traveling outside of Nashville.

PwC was named the Supporting Organization of the Year for its ongoing commitment to LHC and enriching the next generation of health care industry leaders. Over the past year, PwC has been a key sponsorship and programming partner with LHC. In addition, LHC members from PwC have served on the LHC board and been prominent recruiters for LHC membership.
