What led you to join Leadership Health Care?
I was looking for an organization that would help me meet new people, improve my network of people in the industry, and learn more about health care from the leadership of top companies in the U.S. I found that organization with LHC.
What has been the most rewarding part of being a member of Leadership Health Care?
Meeting and networking with people that are in the industry and those that support the industry.
What is your favorite thing about Nashville?
I appreciate how open and accessible people are in Nashville. Most are always willing to help.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Go for what you want.
What famous business person do you most admire and why?
Jeff Bezos. People thought he was crazy when he started Amazon from his garage in 1994. I love that he had an idea that he believed in and didn’t listen to all of the noise. He has grown and expanded Amazon in numerous ways that most people don’t even know about. He is a serial entrepreneur, an investor in numerous other businesses, and a philanthropist.
As you think about the future of the health care industry, what is most motivating to you?
Adapting to change. I wouldn’t be happy in a stagnant industry.
