More than 65 of Nashville’s emerging industry leaders recently enjoyed an exclusive update from Marilyn Dubree, Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Chief Executive Nursing Officer who discussed innovation in nursing, workforce, training and policy issues with members of the Council’s Leadership Health Care initiative.

Dubree is responsible for clinical and professional leadership throughout Vanderbilt University Medical Center and has led robust strategic initiatives in nurse recruitment and retention. She has managed innovations in workforce issues and is advancing the current VUMC initiative for inpatient documentation and clinical process improvement.

During the executive briefing, Dubree provided data on current and future workforce trends and her thoughts on the evolving role of nurse practitioners in patient care.
