LHC Hosts New Event: Health Care 101

On June 13, LHC hosted more than 90 attendees at a new event titled “Health Care 101.”  The sold-out program was designed for LHC members who are new to health care and are looking to expand their knowledge across industry sectors. The event was hosted by a number of health care industry leaders on a breadth of industry related topics.

Nashville’s Health Care Story, Hayley Hovious, president, Nashville Health Care Council

Health Care Economics and the Payer Provider Triangle, Larry Van Horn Ph.D., associate professor of economics and management and executive director of health affairs, Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Business

Sites of Service, Will Howorth, vice president, Urgent Care, HCA Physician Services Group

Behavioral Health, Jameson Norton, CEO, Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital and Clinics and executive director, Vanderbilt Behavioral Health

Revenue Cycle, Scott Mertie, president, Kraft Healthcare Consulting

Opening and closing remarks were made by Wes Pass, chairman of the Board, Leadership Health Care and chief strategy officer, CarePayment; and LHC Director Molly Vice.
