Parallon Names Curtis Watkins President and CEO of Technology Solutions

Parallon, a leading provider of healthcare business and operational services, today announced Curtis Watkins has been named president and CEO of Parallon’s Technology Solutions business unit, effective immediately. Watkins has served as the interim president for Parallon Technology Solutions since October 2014.

Watkins has more than 20 years of healthcare IT experience, including IT strategic consulting, systems strategy development and leadership. As president and CEO of Parallon’s Technology Solutions, Watkins is responsible for the strategic implementation and support of information technology services, applications and processes for Parallon clients.

Prior to his current role, Watkins served as vice president and chief strategy officer for Parallon’s Technology Solutions business unit. He held the position of corporate vice president and deputy chief information officer for Community Health Systems (CHS) before transitioning to Parallon. Earlier in his career, he served as chief information officer for St. David’s HealthCare, as well as a program director with Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), successfully leading one of the largest IT realignments in the company’s history.

Watkins serves on the board of directors of the Nashville Technology Council and is an avid supporter of the United Way. He earned his MBA from the University of Massachusetts and a bachelor’s degree from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.
