Addressing and Preparing for Medicaid Redetermination in Tennessee

COVID-19 revealed inequities and lack of access to healthcare in our vulnerable and underserved communities. One way these problems were addressed was through the Medicaid continuous enrollment provision which was part of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA). With the discontinuation of the enrollment provision, it is estimated that 5 million to 14 million people will lose coverage. What can we do in the next 6-12 months to prepare for the ripple effects in our healthcare ecosystem?

During this event, Council members will interact with a dynamic panel of leaders and their peers to discuss the short-term and long-term effects of the discontinuation of the Medicaid enrollment provision, the stressors on the system, and the future of healthcare in Tennessee.
