Dr. Michael Cuffe is the president of the Physician Services Group for Nashville, Tennessee-based, HCA Healthcare, one of the nation’s leading provider of health care services. The Physician Services Group currently oversees some 11,000 providers, 7,200 in direct and foundation employment models and more than 4,400 via joint ventures, and handles physician strategy, urgent care, recruiting, graduate medical education, laboratory services, and practice management for HCA Healthcare.
Dr. Cuffe joined HCA Healthcare in October 2011. Prior to this position, he served as vice president for Ambulatory Services and chief medical officer for Duke University Health System. He previously served as vice president Medical Affairs of Duke University Health System from 2005 to 2011, as well as in various leadership roles in the Duke Clinical Research Institute. Dr. Cuffe was also vice dean for Medical Affairs of the Duke University School of Medicine.
