LHC Executive Briefing with Bill Carpenter (former Chairman and CEO of LifePoint Health)

Bill Carpenter is a seasoned health care executive who most recently served as chairman and CEO of LifePoint Health, leading up to his retirement in November 2018. A founding employee of LifePoint, which was established in 1999, he continues to serve on the board of directors for the organization.

As a recognized leader in the industry, Carpenter has been a member of the board of directors of the American Hospital Association, as well as the board of the Federation of American Hospitals, where he also served as a past chairman. He is a past chairman of the Nashville Health Care Council, where he is currently a member of the board of directors. He also serves on the boards of directors of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, NashvilleHealth, the Center for Medical Interoperability, United Way of Metropolitan Nashville, and Nashville Public Radio. Additionally, he serves as co-chairman of Partnership 2020, the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce’s economic development initiative. Carpenter has appeared on Modern Healthcare magazine’s annual “100 Most Influential People in Healthcare” list numerous times.
