Kate H. (Katie) Tarr is a Shareholder in the Compensation Valuation (CV) practice of the Healthcare Valuation division of LBMC, PC in Nashville. Her practice performs valuation and litigation support services for private and publicly held companies. Katie has more than 10 years of experience in both the corporate and consulting aspects of healthcare. Katie specializes in determining fair market value of physician compensation arrangements. She has extensive experience in valuing clinical, call coverage, and administrative or Medical Director services, as well as other professional services arrangements. Katie also has experience developing commercially reasonable physician compensation models and policies. Katie serves on the boards of several industry professional and charitable organizations. Katie has been a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association for over 10 years and is currently serving as the Vice President of the East Region on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee chapter.

Katie is in her 6th year as a member of the Advisory Board for Nurses for Newborns of Tennessee, an organization committed to saving babies and strengthening families. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Leadership Healthcare whose mission is to foster the next generation of health care leaders. In 2018 Katie was named one of Nashville Medical News “Women to Watch”. In 2020 Katie completed her Healthcare MBA in the Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business at Belmont University and was the recipient of the Outstanding Massey Graduate Student Award. Katie was the 2019 recipient of The Miller Award issued by Nurses for Newborns of Tennessee. She was also awarded the William G. Follmer Bronze Award by the Healthcare Financial Management Association in 2017 for her contributions to the organization.Katie also speaks on, and has authored articles on, a variety of healthcare valuation topics. Most recently Katie co-authored an article on speakers programs which was published by the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA).Prior to joining LBMC, Katie worked for a large not-for-profit healthcare system in Columbus, OH.
